  Zara

The Zara was an Italian-class heavy cruiser.  Commissioned October 20, 1941, she had a displacement of 11,500 tons.  On March 29, 1941, during the Battle of Cape Matapan, she was sunk after sustaining heavy damage by British naval forces.

  Zuiho

The Zuiho was a Japanese Zuiho-class aircraft carrier.  Commissioned December 7, 1940, she had a displacement of 11,000 tons.  She was sunk on October 25, 1944 by American bomber during the Battle of Leyte Gulf.

  Zulu (F18), HMS

The Zulu was a British Tribal-class destroyer.  Commissioned September 7, 1938, she had a displacement of 2,000 tons.  She was sunk on September 14, 1942 by Italian aircraft during their raid on Tobruk.
