The Uganda was a British Fiji-class light cruiser built by Vickers Armstrong. Commissioned August 21, 1944, she had a displacement of 8,800 tons. After serving two tours in the Korean War, she was decommissioned in June of 1956 and scrapped in 1961.
The Underhill was an American Buckley-class destroyer escort built by Bethlehem Steel Company. Commissioned November 16, 1943, she had a displacement of 16,000 tons. On July 24, 1945, she was attacked and sunk by two Japanese midget suicide submariners, or manned torpedoes, called kiteans.
The Unicorn was a British maintenance aircraft carrier. Commissioned March 12, 1943, she had a displacement of 16,500 tons. Post-war, she was used as a troop ship and aircraft carrier in the Korean conflict. She was scrapped in 1960 at Faslane.
The Unryu was a Japanese aircraft carrier of the class of the same name. Commissioned August 6, 1944, she had a displacement of 17,000 tons. She was sunk December 19, 1944 by the U.S. Redfish in the East China Sea.
The Unyo was a Japanese Taiyo class escort aircraft carrier. Commissioned May 31, 1942, she had a displacement of 17,800 tons. She was sunk on July 10, 1943 off Truk by the USS Halibut.
The Utah was an American Florida class battleship. Commissioned August 31, 1911, she had a displacement of 22,000 tons. She was sunk December 7, 1941 by a Japanese torpedo in the attack on Pearl Harbor.
